Connie is joined by James Doherty from the Forgotten Lines Podcast to dive into his unique YouTube channel focused on genealogy. James shares his journey from an amateur to a professional genealogist, uncovering the stories behind forgotten photographs found in antique shops and cemeteries.
He explains the process of tracing the lives of ordinary people whose stories have been left untold, often enlisting the help of his wife and childhood friends.
James also discusses some of the fascinating discoveries from his adventures, tips for identifying old photographs, and exciting upcoming projects, including a video on his ancestor whose ship sank in 1919.
