Genealogy TV Contest Rules
for the
Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy (SLIG)
Two $50 Prizes (Credit Toward the SLIG Store)

Fight and Deadlines
Contest begins at 6:00 AM (EDT) on June 6th, 2019 and ends at midnight on July 9th, 2019. Entries after the closing deadline will be disqualified.
Both prizes will be drawn randomly on or about July 10th, 2019 and winners will be notified prior to July 13th, 2019.
How to Enter

No purchase necessary to enter any Genealogy TV contest. A purchase of any kind will not improve your chances of winning.
Go to the Genealogy TV website at GenealogyTV.org and sign up for the Genealogy TV Newsletter in order to qualify for one of the two prizes. For those who are already on the Genealogy TV newsletter list, you will need to register again, at the same link for this contest, but know you will not receive two newsletters by doing so.
The same entry link is provided in the “Show Notes” (program description) of the “SLIG 2019-20” video program at https://www.youtube.com/genealogytv.
You will be required to enter your first and last name, and a valid email address.
There is no purchase required to enter this contest.
Prizes
Two prizes of $50 (each) credit toward the SLIG Store at https://slig.ugagenealogy.org/index.php
Prizes are non-transferrable.
Eligibility
Must be 18 years or older with a valid email address to contact the winners. There are no geographic restrictions. One entry per person.
Constance Knox (Genealogy TV), The Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy., its employees, agencies, subsidiaries, representatives, and their immediate families (and others domiciled at the same address), are ineligible to participate.
Notifications
Winners will be notified as soon as possible after the closing of the contest via email. We will make three attempts to email you. In the event that you do not respond within 14 days of the last notification, you forfeit the prize to SLIG. Another winner will not be drawn.
Winners may be announced LIVE on the Genealogy TV YouTube channel.
Odds of Winning
Odds of winning are based on the number of entries. Two prizes will be awarded. Only one prize will be awarded per person.
Privacy Policy
The information we will collect for this contest is First Name, Last Name, and Email. By entering this contest you are signing up for the Genealogy TV Newsletter (email only) that is published up to two times per week. Genealogy TV will never sell or share your information with anyone with two exceptions…
First Exception: Only the winners information will be shared with the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy for the sole purpose of contacting you about your prize.
Second Exception: Only winner names and approximate location may be used publicly in announcements on Genealogy TV’s YouTube channel, website, Facebook page, and or the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy’s public announcements, but only if you’re a winner. By entering this contest you grant permission to Genealogy TV and SLIG for such public announcements.
All contestants acknowledge, as a condition of entry, that Genealogy TV has the right to publicize and/or webcast the winner’s name, character, likeness, voice or all matters incidental herein.
Winners may be announced in a LIVE webcast publically on Genealogy TV’s YouTube channel at a time to be announced.
Additional Rules and Notes
Genealogy TV reserves the right to remove or cancel this contest for any reason.
Genealogy TV reserves the right, at their sole discretion, to disqualify any individual found tampering with an entry process, including and without limitation the submission of multiple registrations, game entries, the use of fake or duplicate identities by a single user, or use of ‘spam’ or other improper techniques.
All prizes are non-transferable and void where prohibited by law. No cash substitution of prizes is allowed.
In the event that a winner chooses not to accept a prize, he or she forfeits all claims to that prize.
Genealogy TV and or the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy is not responsible for replacing or reimbursing winners with any form of compensation for events or contests that are canceled.
Genealogy TV reserves the right to make changes to these rules and to any contest and prize at any time without notification.
In the event of any dispute regarding the contest or rules, the decision of the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy and Genealogy TV management shall be final.
